Could be tough to decide.
321A: Ky Biddle - State Champ / 0 losses Colt Castlebury - State Champ / 1 loss Luke Hayes - State Champ / 0 losses
- Don't watch enough 321A to tell you for sure. All had great seasons. Would be tough to pick.
4A: Austin Hood - State Champ / 0 losses Aaron Seybold - State Champ / 2 losses Sam Son - State Champ / 0 losses
- Really impressed by all these guys.
5A: Bo Pursel - State Champ / 0 losses Luke Bean - State Champ / 0 losses Brandon Charbonneau - State Champ / 0 losses Alex Bontz - State Champ / 1 losses (out of state kid)
- Bunch of tough seniors. Do you give it to the guy who won 4? Tough not too. This year who was the most dominant?
6A: Matt Reed - State Champ / 0 losses Reece Wright Conklin - State Champ / 2 losses (losses not legit, from what I hear) Connor Middleton - State Champ / 1 loss
- Reed and Conklin before Middleton. all tough kids also.

Both of Seybolds losses are to out of state kids at super loaded tournaments.

Very impressive list. No matter who is picked, someone will left out. Glad I am not making that call. With the execption of the 3-2-1A wrestlers, I have seen them all and they are all deserving.

I would think you would have mentioned Konnor Kriss for 4A.
Four-time state placer 3rd, 3rd, 1st, 1st. Two time State Champion BTW, I believe the last loss Hood had at the State tourney was to Konnor Kriss (the only time they were in the same weight)!
Not saying one deserves it over another, but to not mention Konnor in your post is puzzling!!!

I dont know how you would not think about Dylan Schumacher for 3231A, as he won his 4th title this year. yes he had 3 losses this season, but I believe only one to a KS wrestler and that was to Bryce Shoemaker 4A runner up. JMO

I agree that Schumacher should be added to the list with Biddle, Castlebury, and Hays. All four were very impressive at the state tournament and are very deserving. You can not go wrong with any of them.

What I find the most impressive, is that out of these wrestlers, there are only 7 losses combined. From one of the previous statements, at least 2 of those 7 are to out of state wrestlers. That is absolutely incredible! I would imagine the combined record against out of state wrestlers is equally as impressive. All are deserving of this recognition!

Chief, I agree if we look at just this years acomplishments Albers should be mentioned with the best of them, as he had a stellar season. If we look at over the past years, it would be hard to put him with some of the others, as I believe that he only placed at state once, and that was this year. But none the less what a season for Eric, great season.

alot of talented seniors going out in style this year arguements can be made for competition, classification, points for, points against. you can't really argue a 3.92 GPA, that great no matter where you're from! you should be proud, as should many others. heard quite a few high GPAs announced during the 4a finals.

Very interesting. What are the odds? Why does it seem that so many wrestlers are such good students?

Not trying to lobby for Senior of the year with this information, as I think it should be left purely to wrestling accomplishments and as you can see with Dylan's there are pretty amazing careers from the young men listed above. I do find the detail of their high school accomplishments very interesting, for example I didn't know that Connor Middleton was such an outstanding football player nor did I know the great stats that Dylan had racked up. So with that in mind I have listed some of Alex’s stats and accomplishments while in high school:
156-6 High school career record with 89 falls Not taken down by a KS wrestler since his sophomore season.
Career losses 1. Devon Frye, 321A state champ 2. 4-5 Symon Seaton 3. / 4. Kash Biddle, 5A state champ 5. 12-14 Garret Hinckley, 5A state runner-up 6. 1-3 Kyle Ashe (Tulsa Union) ranked #11 in country

321a-Dylan Schumacher 4a-Austin Hood 5a-Bo Pursel 6a-Matt Reed JMO
but lets not forget KWCA Wrestler of the Year which I would give to Hood for his national achievements. If thats the case then 4a should go to Seybold.
