It has been moved to the Ralston Event Center in Ralston, Nebraska. Ralston is a suburb of Omaha. The event flyer is available at Nebraska USA Wrestling.
This is for 1st thru 6th graders and we plan on taking 4 teams again.
Wieght classes are 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 130, 140, 160. We are also allowed 3 alternates per team.
Each wrestler will get a Team Kansas singlet, shorts and t-shirt. All gear will be similar to the Middle School stuff. Entry fee to the duals, travel to and from the event and hotels are included. Water for the wrestlers is provided as is pizza on Saturday night. I am working on reserving hotels, etc but I expect the cost to be similar to last year - $240.00. We will be staying in a hotel that has the ability to provide breakfast for all the wrestlers.
Like last year, we will be meeting and leaving from the Capital Plaza Hotel in Topeka. I will post the times later, but we need to leave no later than 12:30. That will allow us to get checked in to our hotel and make it to weigh ins at the 5:00 start time.
There will be a coaches meeting in Wichits to select the teams after the state tournament. I will post the date and time later. All coaches are welcome. It would be nice to have a representative or two from all 4 districts at this meeting.
If your wrestler is interested, post his name, weight, grade and team he wrestles for now. I will update the list as we go. There will be a link to the required forms, etc posted later.
I will need volunteers to coach, drive vans and work the table during each dual. PM me if you are interested in helping out.
