Will, thanks for the dual possibilities. I did one last year for STA and STA - and like yours was just an opinion.
here are some facts:
GC and SJA faced the same competition in this tournament(Kansas, CO, NeB) and GC won.
You have stated that Rocky Welton is one of the toughest tournaments in Kansas. And GC won.
mark
Should the #1 team be Manhattan since they beat Garden City at Newton? Or Blue Valley Northwest since they beat Manhattan at BV Northwest? Wait, Goddard has beat them both. Oh dang, St. James beat Goddard. Whew...

It's okay to be a little bias.... we all are. Chiefs bias just happens to be to the Northeast... especially St. James and St. Thomas. And he just puts his out there for all to see. If I tried to rank all teams I'm sure I would be a little bias too. Just fun to point it out when you see it. I think KC Chiefs win the Super Bowl next year... But then again I'm bias to them...

The real fact is that there is criteria around ranking the individual wreslters but make no sense to attempt to rank the All Class teams.
4 different state tournament and to many variables. Even if they frequent the same tournaments there may be a few missing that would change the out come.
Is it figured on a Grand State type tournament? If so that is pretty clear cut and even I could figure that out.

Bradbee, Bradbee, Bradbee. Welcome to the conversations that IS the USAWKS forms. It is well documented that Chief is biased. What point are you trying to make here? Trying to get him to admit it? I don't think so. Never going to happen. Hey, I'm biased against SJA but you don't see me ranking anybody. THAT is the only difference between us. I'm not saying Chief is a bad guy. Just that he shouldn't be ranking anything.

Doubt all you want. St. Thomas spent most of the season at #1. Not just preseason. Ark City was ranked behind St. Thomas going into state (This is all two years ago). And the fact that he had St. James ahead of Ark City going into regionals last year, as you say goes to bias. Was it even close last year? Go ahead and look at the past posts and see for yourself that Aquinas was not ranked ahead of Ark City in either 5A or AC going into state. I just did and if it's easier for you I'll go back and get the link.

Here is something that we can all be happy about.
Kansas teams are doing better than in past years winning these tough tournaments.
The older I get the better I was!

Kansas teams are doing better than in past years winning these tough tournaments.....Maybe, but not necessarily in college (D-1). And wasn't that all Cokely could talk about on these forms for years? Wasn't the goal for Kansas wrestlers to become big time D-1 wrestlers? You know...so we could show the world Kansas wrestling was a power. For years I watched him put down anything and any idea that wasn't about Kansas wrestlers competing with the best. Getting kids out, and supporting programs went out the window because coaches were lazy and not pushing kids so Kansas could be the best. But what changed Cokely? I haven't seen these type of posts in a while. Are we doing better? Please explain. Are Kansas coaches not lazy and worthless any more?

No problem Bradbee. There's a hard learning curve on this website. What you post makes sense, so I'd hate to see you bullied like so many others in the past. As I have and will continue to point out, these "All-Class Rankings" only seem to promote one particular program. Even though they haven't won a state championship or produced any college All-Americans.

Chief, Gary Joint moved up to 113. How's that change your view of 106? It was reported to me by his dad and coach that he was staying at 106 but will occasionally go 113.

Steve,
In all honesty, within the individual rankings can you say where you might see a discrepancy or bias for any particular team. What kid should be above another and what criteria.

I've been doing this for years and whomever the team is at the top is the "one particular" team. Look back and learn the truth that you guys are not original in your "ranking envy". It used to be the Goddard, Derby or Wichita Heights haters coming out of the woodwork. You guys are officially the Thunder haters. lol.

So if you have an opinion that is different than Chief, you are a hater? I think St. James is a good program, Top 5 for sure in the last few years. Have no problem with them. But when there is a girl in their bracket, girls should be banned. When there is an illegal slam the other team should not take the disqualification (I know that was St. Thomas not St. James, but it goes to the same point and all these opinions were expressed on here last year.) When Goddard beat them we get excuses, no congrats to Goddard. When they beat Goddard, things are all right in the world. You question another area of the state and you get a good answer... but question St. James you are the Devil in the flesh. Come on Chief, you think St. James will win state and I think Goddard will Beat them. Take it at what it is, difference in opinion. I just happen to believe that mine is right... They have won 1 Big tourney this year and so does Garden City and Goddard.... But in your eyes that nod will always go to North East schools... especially St. James. That is called bias

Naahhh. I love Coach Means and the Goddard Lions! Awesome team with a great future and could very well win 5A this year! Heck, I have them #2. Why the hard time? Why do you say the nod goes to NE schools? Look at the All-Class history. Goddard, Derby, Wichita Heights... they have all been atop of the AC rankings. You have revisionist history that you are trying to make fit your story.
