Of course I mean a win in the current season. So according to you all a head to head win over a wrestler in the current season doesn't mean anything.
Tyson,
I've never taken a shot at anyone that didn't do it to me first. I'll treat you how you treat me.
Tryingtobesilent, Wuthnow is not from SJA. That is the real criteria here. I wish there was a test to be passed before they allowed you to post... Have you considered the disrespect you are dishing out on Trent? He has EARNED the #1 ranking. He has pinned nearly everyone he has wrestled this year. He lost to a wrestler from Colorado that was the Reno TOC Champion, the 2nd toughest tournament in the country. It doesn't take a big budget to have a tough schedule. Give me a break. EVERY public school in the state can afford the SJA schedule. Nick is a great wrestler and a great kid. His dad has spent more time taking him to practices to get better than 95% of the dads in KS wrestling history. Nick is #2 this year and absent a head to head match up that is as good as it gets which isn't bad. Recognize Trent's accomplishments and quit being a bunch of ignorant jerks.

Dee Gard Reese 2x Hollingsworth Rodd Then his last loss was to Abilenes 126 due to no more blood time. Not sure who was winning that match before it was called off. By the way, I'm Ryne.

I have no dog in this fight so I dont care who is #1 or #2 both of these wrestlers are studs.
Will, I disagree that EVERY public school can attend all the tournaments that SJA does. I am not saying they dont have the budget, but what I am saying is that many times the administration sets the schedule, due to travel time, staff time, and how much it cost to pay bus drivers, and others staff to go on these longer trips. Many times public schools only go to 1 tournament at year besides state that they stay overnight night. Geyer, EVERY SCHOOL CAN wrestle the same schedule. There are NO rules limiting any KSHSAA member school from traveling to the same places, fund raising, or not wrestling many duals. Your argument is with a school district and a school board not with any special treatment that some perceive that private schools have. If I was in a school district that had short sited administrators or board members I would use SJA as a great example of why it is ok to do so. You want the academic and attendance data for our wrestlers and students? Football is a huge cash drain on every school but they find a way... Sometimes you have to educate the educators. Wil

That is an insult to both Trent and Eric Johnson. Of course I could have just considered the source and ignored it but my dislike for Steve grows every time he crawls out from under the rock he lives beneath. Tryingtobebutnotbeingsilent, I am still confused. Did you think that Wuthnow had a win this season over Salsbury?? Head to head s always the number one criteria until you have the triangle of confusion where three guys all beat each other.

You said "Jerks" meaning more than one. Steve was the only one making ignorant remarks, and yes he should be ignored. The more your dislike grows the more his ignorance grows and the more the rest of us have to put up with it. Don't make him think he has a valid point by responding.
Now, those that still think Nick is better than Trent, that's ok. They can have that opinion until they meet head to head this year. And Those that think Trent can beat Nick, that's ok also, with no disrespect to either wrestler. It's ok to root for your favorite.

My Dad passed away in OKC and I was at his funeral on Saturday, honoring my hero. Wow, I am so sorry Chief, I just heard. My condolences to you on the passing of your Hero, your Father. Although my sentiment is belated, it is none the less sincere. You and your loved ones will be in my thoughts and prayers. I also realize though that it is a time to celebrate his life and not just a time to grieve. You obviously have great memories of your Hero. What an honor and appropriate testament for him and you.

If Nick gets by Grater and Trent carries through, it would be nice to take both Salsbury and Wuthnow to Denver on the two All-Class Teams! Get them both in that 182 Rocky Mountain National bracket and meet in the finals!

More matches to consider other than head to head? If somebody beat someone head to head what else is there to consider? Could be a lot, unless the two in question have wrestled only one match and it happens to be against each other. He is better than that person. Not necessarily. Again that's why these rankings are a joke. Not accurate. some publications actually use them as official rankings. Wrong!!!! No, that is right as they are clearly the most accurate reflection of an overall "All Class" that we have. If I wanted something cheap I'd talk to your mother..... .....You did mention my standup. Wow, really? I can't believe what I just read. And belated again. Sorry. I need to keep up. I am behind and missing all the fun?

No, I knew there was no head to head against the two. I have seen the two in action before. In my personal opinion I would favor wuthnow in a match up. I have no problem with Salisbury at #1 after I read about his body of work so far this year. He's been through some strong competition!
