I recieved this email last week from GE Head Coach Matt Yeamans. He has grown a great program at GE with integrity, passion and a heart for competition!


His email follows:


"As some of you may have heard, I am resigning as the head wrestling coach at Gardner Edgerton High School.

My wife and I have both recently accepted jobs in the north Dallas area. I have accepted a position as an assistant wrestling coach at the top high school wrestling program in the state of Texas, Allen High School, where I'll also be teaching next fall.


It was a difficult decision to leave GEHS, but we're excited about the opportunities ahead of us in Texas.

I just wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU for all the support from our wrestling community over my fifteen years at GEHS. Our family is very grateful for the opportunities we've had while living here, and we'll always hold a special spot in our hearts for this community."
