The Junior National Duals are alive and well! There was amazing competition in Oklahoma City and our Kansas Juniors left it all on the mat. While the end result was not as lofty as years past, there were several encouraging stories from this years teams.
I want to thank the coaching staff of Scott Rieck, Curtis Chenoweth, Ryne Cokeley, Chas Thompson and Derek Koehn. These guys are true teachers of the sport. I want to thank Will Cokeley for coaching, reffing at camp, driving the team and for spearheading our new direction for our dual teams. It was a monumental effort on his part. A big thank you to Dan Gentzler for his work in our pre-camp in Wichita. Thanks to Kapaun Mt. Carmel high school for hosting the camp. Thank you to Kathy Juby for her always prompt responses to our registering requirements. Thanks also to Mark Dulgarian for driving the team and for his organizational help. I will never take the Kansas Wrestling community for granted. We have one special family!
