Dyer signed a wrestling letter of intent. He isnt a good enough football player to play at OU but he is certainly good enough to wrestle there. I think he will have a fine carreer there.

Have you ever seen justin dyer play football? ...i didn't think so, justin dyer is one of the most pure athletes i have seen in my life i don't think that its right of someone to get on here and say that he is just isn't good enough to play football at oklahoma, i would think maybe if he wnated to play he would but i believe his scholorship was for wrestling! now westfahl i dunno who you are but most people in the world have some sort of smarts in their tiny little heads but i believe you are one one that doesn't, myself and many other wrestlers around the metro area have had the priviledge of playing justin dyer and probably thinking of wow the metro area tuff place huh well i don't really see many state champs out west asking to play Olathe North in football, its been a while since we haven't won a state championship i forgot the last west team to win won!! do you know ??? justin dyer is a pure b@d@$$ he could play if he wanted to but maybe he doesn't

That was one of the most rambling, poorly written responses I have ever read. It was painful for me to sift through your incoherent thoughts. Maybe you should sit down and do a little proofreading before you push that submit button next time. Better luck next time OlatheNorth171.

Yep, I watched that game over at WSU. One of the hardest hitting games I have seen. Didn't think GC would have a chance but they played like a team on a mission! If I remember correctly, Derby was picked to beat GC in the playoffs but also lost to them.

You'd think a quarterback, who can read defenses, would at least be able to read his own posts...maybe that's why he was a backup.

Hey Olathe North; didn't mean to rile you up. I didnt mean to say that Dyer isnt a great football player. I have coached against him and his brother and I know he is awfully good. I think he is a much better wrestler however, and may be good enough to be wonderfully successful at Oklahoma in wrestling. In my opinion and it is only that, I feel his true talent lies in wrestling. I have coached against him in both sports and I think he is truly a Big 12 talent on the mat. I just am not as sure about the football field. Hey I have been wrong a bunch and as for the comments about my intelect, well there are a bunch of people who would probably agree with your opinion there too.

No I wasnt dissin him. I was a head football and wrestling coach for 25 years and i sort of look at things in black and white ways. I think he is a marvelous talent for wrestlign but sort of a tweener in football. Size wise he is between a safety and a linebacker but doesnt have the speed for the secondary. I am not saying he isnt a heck of a football player and a great athlete he is but he is more suited to be successful as a wrestler. I have nothing but respect for him and his brother, I have been on the field and mat with them and know what they are capable of and it is a lot.
