I know a coach being recognized for winning over 300 duals. The question was asked if there is any sort of list/rank of KS head coaches and dual wins, to see where he might stack up, how many coaches have achieved this, etc.
Any help or ideas?

Pretty Damn Impressive. In 22 years Wayne Jackson was 205-14. How long has this man coached? 300 is a huge number.

I know coach Vander Linden at Burlington reached the 300 mark 2 years ago and is still going strong!
The fact that girls are forced to wrestle at state in the middle of the week is laughably sexist.

Many teams now attend dual tournaments almost exclusively. Some teams amass 10 dual wins in a single weekend. Because of this Coach Jackson's(AC)and Coach Miller(KMC) dual win records don't look as impressive but nobody would be getting many dual wins against those teams.

Good point, back in Jackson's day they would get 10-12 a year. Kind of like the 100 win club everyone is in such an uproar about. 40 matches a year, 100 wins really isn't that big if a deal. Now Mason Wallace at 150, that's impressive.

Just curious. . . Do duals in a dual tourney count? I would think they do, but did not know for sure.

Yes they do. In states with a Dual Meet State Tournament - they use duals from Dual Tournaments in their team records.

Just an interesting side note on this topic; under head coach Pat Sands, Emporia High school set the national dual record with I believe 119 consecutive dual wins in 1977,what ever is said about Coach Sands, that's as impressive as it gets! However, not one state title was gotten during that many years of accumulation. It wasn't until 1980 Emporia got its first state title; and then started cranking them out after that.

Again, the change in the number of duals wins is in large part due to how schedules are now built. Going from days of competition to points has led to schools to maximize the matches wrestled for the points "spent." Back in the day, it was not unusual to have a SEASON schedule composed of 5 or 6 single duals, and 3 or 4 bracketed tournaments. Now, two 2-day dual tournaments can yield 15-20 duals. It does not diminish the accomplishments of those who wrestled or coached before or those who have come after the scheduling change. It just makes it hard to compare because the two scheduling environments are so different.
