Turner finished last year ranked 2nd and Koelzer was 6th, both at 120. How did Koelzer jump him and get the #1 spot on the intermat article? Freestyle results?

In part, yes. Jace is a 6x Fargo AA and a USAW folkstyle AA. His loss at the state tournament last year cost him in that ranking, not this one.

Except when I asked during preseason and you said you took results from out of season to switch Koelzer and Turner. My opinion is you don’t wanna put kids that were included in your Top Seniors article low, which makes sense. Can’t put the D1 commit below a D2 commit. Can’t have the senior you ranked as KS’ #1 recruit second in his own weight class, also behind a D2 commit.

Of course, the pre-season ranking included all matches prior to that ranking. Why wouldn't they? The purpose of the final All-Class ranking is to have an actual finish line. Once that finish line is drawn, subsequent matches count toward the next season ranking.
