Hello all. The Eureka Wrestling Club will be hosting a benefit tournament on December 30th, 2018. All proceeds of this tournament will be going directly to the family. Please see excerpt below to understand Mason's story:

Mason Marshall is the two-year-old son of Zach and Chelsi Marshall of Eureka. Mason underwent Coronal Craniosynostosis surgery at two months old. Surgeons cut a 1 cm wide strip of bone out of his skull to create a gap to relieve pressure on his brain. He wore a helmet for 9 months with constant adjustments to properly shape his skull. Mason also has a dysmorphic great left toe and underwent a second surgery in November 2017 to remove an extra bone and straighten his toe. He also had a small hand surgery to correct the web space on his left hand between his thumb and finger at this time as well.

Mason has been diagnosed with Curry Jones Syndrome, a newly discovered diagnosis. Only 10 children are known to have this diagnosis. To check for missing glands, not uncommon among children with Curry Jones Syndrome, Mason had an MRI Monday, March 19, 2018. During this MRI, doctors found a medulloblastoma tumor at the base of Mason’s brain. He underwent surgery March 21 to remove the tumor. He began chemotherapy in April. He has successfully completed treatments. He has a partial hearing loss from the chemo and is awaiting glasses. Mason continues to see multiple doctors (endocrinologist, neurologist, orthopedic surgeon, eye specialist, oncologist, cardiologist, ENT, audiologist, and geneticist) to address chemotherapy side effects as well as issues related to Curry Jones Syndrome.
