Can only comment that the only equitable way to settle issue is to have shoulder-to-shoulder weigh-ins. That jeopardizes the health of our wrestlers...which is why off-site weigh-ins arose in the first place.
One of my favorite teachers (AD and vice principal) used to say that "Locks are made to keep honest people honest".
Hopefully kids, parents and administrators will take note and, if warranted, provide enough pressure to stop the practice.
The greatest thing I learned from wrestling from my high school coaches (Dwight Hemmerling and Jim Lee) was that INTEGRITY (to self and to others), HONOR (to God, your family and your school), and DUTY (to our team mates) are paramount. When those are in line, winning is just an off-shoot.
All a man has is his word and his honor. If a coach is doing this, I pray that he takes a LONG hard look in the mirror.
