After two season ending injuries, Hoxie only has 21 kids on its entire roster.
Yes, you can name several more kids from eastern Kansas. #1 because most eastern Kansas folks can't name hardly anyone who wrestles in western Kansas. But #2, given the difference in population base to draw upon, you should have more.
Heck, I suspect that some of your high schools have almost as many students as Sheridan County has people (2,500 +/-).
But if you are looking at tradition how many eastern Kansas schools - even with the additional numbers - can match the long track record of history of a Colby, Goodland, Hoxie, Oberlin, Norton.......
Shawnee Heights, Washburn Rural, and Shawnee Mission East all came to the Colby Dual Tournament. Shawnee Heights and SME are ranked in their respective classes. The three went a combined 5-10 in the pool portion of the meet.
