Has KSHSAA announced where the cutoff will be between 4A and 321A? If it's like years past it looks like Larned will be up at 4A, perhaps SIlver Lake as well. It looks like Halstead will likely remain at 4A along with Nemaha Central going up. Anyone have any concrete information?

KSHSAA 2025 regional page states that 63 total schools will be 4A and 96 will be 321A. KSHSAA Regionals

here are the enrollment figures (23-24 and 24-25) for all the boys wrestling teams who were at regionals last year (bolded teams were 4A in 2023-2024). If 63 is indeed the number, Silver Lake is the last 4A and Cheney is the largest 321A .

Class 4-1A Coaches,

I know many have been wondering what classification they will wrestling the postseason in. Therefore, here are the schools that will be wrestling in Class 4A. The remainder of the schools in Classes 3-1A will be wrestling in the 3-1A classification. Class 4A will have 63 wrestling schools. Galena will be added to the Girls Class 4A, as they do not have a boys’ team.

We hope to have regional assignments out in the next couple of weeks, as we are still securing a few host sites.
