I wouldnt go so far as to say it was a weak Regional but I don't know if there was one team there that fielded a whole squad. Here's my thoughts:
103: Kepka of Lyons in the last second beat Ceman of Phillipsburg. Both will place at State...maybe in the 5-6 range.

112: I don't see any of these boys doing particularly well at State...although a dark horse to do something is Tommy Knapp of Lincoln.

119: Kyle Cook of Hoisington is good....but the West Regional was soooo much tougher. Cook is 4-6 at State. No-one else will place.

125: Esterl of Beloit has a great shot at 3rd or 4th. York of Smith Center should place.

130: Orozco looks TOUGH. State Championship material. Kaup should place.

135: Warner may place...not an incredibly tough weight.

140: Jordon impressed me. However this weight is so tough I don't know if he can get better than 4th. Hazard will place - just not 2nd like last year

145: Rachow from P-burg will place. Hejny from Hoisington is a dark horse in a state-wide weak weight.

152: Yikes! Will any of these guys make much noise at state?

160: Nick Newell of Mankato is so tough. Shoulda wrestled for 4 years instead of played bball for 3. Still, he's got a shot. Pretty balanced weight class as Doering, Nichols and Knapp will all win state matches.

171: Kingsbury looks poised to make a state title run in a TOUGH weight. Wright may win a match but the other 2 could be two and out

189: Spears will place; Palmer from S.C. was lucky to win his semifinal match with Larsen, but a good freshman none-the-less. Larsen should do well, too. Pretty good weight at this Regional.

215: Pulec looks like someone that could be in the finals. Can he challenge someone like Plattner? I don't know but he'll place high. Vonada and Rorabaugh have a chance to place high too.

275: Boor is state finals material (if he's not on the same side as Sprigg) and Schneider from Hoisington COULD place.

A better Regional than last years Central Kansas Regional (won by Russell who scored a whopping 6 points at state). Smith Center is Top 10 and so is P-burg if every wrestler wins a match. Don't expect much else team wise.

Wow mike... your kinda negative.... on the 103... i think kepka is around 3-4... and Cemen is 4-6
112 i agree... knapp is a good wrestler... i dont think larsen deserved that one
119... good call... i think cook might place a little higher
125... EXACTLY
130 Orozco will have a tough match in the finals aginst the TMP kid...(I havent looked at the bracket)
135 dosnt really look like a solid weight

152 1 word... sad
160 i think knapp is gonna stunn some people
171 kingsbury...2-5 (unpredictable)
189 larsen made a mistake and palmer snagged it.... LARSEN 1-4
