WSEWC-
My position on the class match up takes a different perspective than yours. I look at what it takes to qualify/place at state, maybe not where the best few teams are. If I were a mediocre (sorry if this is spelled incorrectly, I hope the grammar police doesn't arrest me!) wrestler and I wanted a chance to qualify and/or place at state, 5A is the place to do that most years. There are more losing records at state in 5A than any other class. And I don't believe that they have losing records because of all the tough duals they have with other tough 5A schools, very few teams wrestle a lot of duals anymore, unless it is a dual tourney in which case you are probably not just wrestling 5A schools. Also, wrestlers from smaller schools records are not inflated due to a large number of forfeits in duals, the way Kansas wrestling is now, most teams see numerous teams from other classes throughout the course of the year.

While I understand 5A has many of the best teams in the state this year, I define "easy" or "worse" differently than you do. Under my definition I would definitely have to say 4A or 321A is the toughtest.

Any fool can criticize, complain, and condemn- and most do.
