Who that has graduted in the past 4 yrs. and also that is going to graduate this year has joined the military and proudly serve our country? I know for a fact that Scott Basinger(grad in 04) from Derby is in the Navy and last I heard is wrestling for them. Chad Horton also from Derby, graduates this year has joined the Marine Corps. I myslef, Daniel Smith(grad 04) from Derby, am in the Marine Corps. I was just curious as to who else is out there helping serve our great nation.

Hey Daniel give me a call and what are you doing on here. How about getting a release to come home and wrestle in the clnic this next week. I have a 45 pounder or thereabouts to take you on.

I'm on here cuz I got bored the other day, even though I'm not suppose to be on here during working hours. But that's what haapens when ur in Ft. Lost in the woods Mo. waiting to get picked up for your job training. Doubt that I can come home tough, I'd love to trust me, but it would be a no go. I'm no where near 145 right now anyway. I'm more at like 175-180. Yeah I know, I got a little fat since I was home on boot leave, most of it is muslce though, but I should really lay off the Mt. Dew a little! But that would be like me giving up wrestling too, that's a definite no go!

Bill Lubbers, from Olathe North, is both a ranger and special forces (Green Beret) soldier in Afghanistan. These guys are something else. Who would you want leading you into battle, but Kansas' best?

This is the most important post among all the hoopla. This supercedes any bickering, disagreements,name-calling, grounding, town-against-town etc. Talk about perspective..this puts it into perspective.

Isn't Mark Bethot - state champion from Ark City in 98 an officer in the Air Force and a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.

These are truly our finest young men and an unbelievable credit to our state and wrestling community - God bless them and watch over them all and we thank them for their service - a debt that can not be repaid!
