You CAN go up one weight class without breaking certification, but NOT down any. For example: a 125 pound wrestler can wrestle at 130, but NOT at 119. If the wrestler wrestles 135, then he breaks certification and now can go no lower than 130 which would be their new certification weight. Of course you get 2 pounds every meet after the 16th, which means that 125 pounder is really a 127 pounder. AND if that wrestler wants to wrestle 125 at regionals, then half their year weigh-ins must be at the 125 class.
