Please post a list of the Top 3 high school wrestling tournaments in the state (listed as #1, #2, & #3) Think of tournaments that have the following elements: 1. 32 or more teams 2. 32-man bracket (or larger) 2. Top ranked teams in the state 3. Top ranked wrestlers in the state 4. Out-of-state teams Thanks for your help. We'd like to showcase talent from all over the nation. http://www.WrestlingBroadcast.com "More wrestling, more often, more available..."

How about the Bobcat Classic at Basehor Linwood along with the Beloit Invitational (although not 32 teams it had Manhattan, Hoxie, Salina South, Abilene, and Clay Center) all last year. Possibly the toughest 1 day tournament in the state!

The Colby Dual Tourney is a great dual tourney. There are a lot of good teams and some great competition. We have some great sponsors that make it possible to bring in good teams from all over.
The Beloit Tourney is a pretty good tourney. Great competition and usually a well-run event.
These are probably the best two events that we compete in. The P-Burg tourney is a good one day tourney with good competition, but I take our dual meet and the Beloit tourney over it. P-Burg might be the toughest 1-day event in the state though.
We don't go to Newton or the Bobcat, but they are great tourneys as well. I would say that the three toughest tourneys in the state are Beloit, Newton, and Bobcat.(in no particular order).

tirapell,
It's great to see you here on the Kansas site as well as on themat.com I was an old sports radio announcer for football Junior College Championship teams in back to back years before heading down to wrestle at UCO. It will be great to have somebody get on the airwaves to broadcast these tournaments, especially for some of us shut-ins.

Rose Hill is usually pretty good. No out-of-state teams, though.

I have attended several of the tournaments mentioned by those who have responded. The Bobcat Classic takes the cake hands down.

I'm kinda partial but the Senior Prarie Classic in Hays is usually pretty tough...Buhler, McPherson, Dodge City, St. Francis, Ellis, Russell, Salina Central, Hays High, Shawnee Heights, Phillipsburg, Wakeeney, Ulysses, Ellsworth, Goodland, Haysville-Campus, TMP-Marian, Hoisington
Not great numbers of teams, but quality teams none-the-less....gets my vote, never attended any of the other ones

Most 2-day tournaments are tough and Hays, Beloit, Bvnw and Rose Hill are tough tournaments and some weights are sometimes tougher than Newton and Basehor-Linwood but overall they are the two toughest in the State
