Wrestling is wrestling. The successful big kids at the national level (both high school and college) shoot singles, high crotches and (believe it or not) doubles. Watch the NCAAs when they're on TV in a couple of weeks. It's not a throw festival and the guys who try to do nothing but that at that level get their brains kicked in.
I was at last year's NCAAs and saw (including the heavyweights) a grand total of about seven throws out of about 400 matches. Four of them didn't work or were countered, two were counters to other moves and the other one was just dumb luck.
Referees aren't the problem in this case (although an official shouldn't be making tactical suggestions). Officials shouldn't have to learn "heavier guys' wrestling;" heavier guys should learn better wrestling.
