This is one that I may be in the minority but I have seen it happen his year. There are 2 ways to show a bite mark and it NOT be a bite.
1, Bite yourself. I have actually seen this done once, not this year but I have seen it done.
2, A head crank or hard cross face across the wrestlers face and then keeping the arm pressure over the mouth of the opposing wrestler. I would challenge anyone to try this, hard pressure of the arm across the face. Then imagine that the wrestler is tired; trying to breathe with an open mouth and the arm will cause teeth marks to show on the arm. I have actually seen this happen several times. Once this year where the wrestler was almost disqualified after almost teching his opponent.
In that situation the opposing coach, thank goodness, came to the defense of the wrestler and told the official it was a hard cross face and not a bite. It caused his wrestler to loose but he was being honest.
There are normally ways to tell a legitimate bite from a fake bite or even just teeth impressions. I won't share those here, maybe someone else will but I have seen and know that teeth marks don't always indicate a true bite.
