In the Oberlin Tournament they had three matches won by coin tosses. It was anounced that the toss was only to decide who got the third place medal. The team points were split evenly to both teams.

In the 130# & 145# brackets there were 10 wrestlers. In both, one wrestler had wrestled in 3 matches and one in 5 matches. By the flip of the coin in both cases the one who had only wrestled in 3 matches won the toss.

The 140# bracket was the only bracket that each team (14) had a wrestler. Both wrestlers going for third place had wrestled in 5 matches that day. They wrestled each other in 2nd round of the day.
