Dear Mr. Baker:

Thank you for the post. I had a reply prepared last night nearly the same as yours, however I deleted the post, believing coachtwink was joking.

If I took a team to state with 13 qualifiers one year and 14 qualifiers another year, I would be disappointed with nothing less than two state championships.

I also concur with the trash talking comment. No excuse for a coach, either current or former, to hide behind a pseudoname and post trash and meaningless comments.

Coaches need to lead by example, good example.

Actually, I have nothing against Abiline at all. All Abilene wrestlers and coaches I have met are classy dudes (save one, who has a commanding lead in the "Least Liked Person on the Forum" poll). Also, while I come from a very successful wrestling background, I am not a coach.

Sorry if I offended more than one person. I made the comment just to see if I could ruffle Nigel's feathers. Mission accomplished.

Swish.

Congrats, Aquinas!
Great job, Hat Town!

This dingbat person doesn't really even know me Lucas so I lend no weight to any of his comments. And I fully agree with Mr Salyer's comments about the trash talking. If he was trying to "ruffle my feathers" he did a poor job. At best he got a good chuckle out of me. As for the least like person, it makes no difference to me, I find that amusing as well. Nothing more tha na cry for attention from Mr. BigPin. But as I have always said, if your not going to post with your real name on here and take responsibility for your actions and comments then you can't even begin to insult someone. To my recollection no one on this board who has ever said a negative thing about me has put their real name on a post, nor have they ever talked to me or said it to me in person. So one must ask themselves how much weight could you possibly put in the statement of a so-called "man" who posts behind the secrecy of a false name. Isn't he funny Lucas?

Mr. Salyer,

I assume this is the post which caused you to call me a poor leader. I ask you, where did I show poor leadership here? I said nothing deragatory about anyone, just spoke the truth regarding Dingbat and his former program's accomplishments. I did not edit my previous post, I must have messed up when typing it originally.

If this is not the post that lead you to call me a poor leader, than what is it. I would really like an answer or retraction of your previous statement. As far as I can tell we have disagreed regarding toughest class/area of wrestling, but that is nothing more than a difference of opinion.

Respectfully,

Coach Twink.

Mr. Salyer I am with coachtwink on this one. We are both waiting for your reply on the Good Job Hat Town/Aquinas thread. I have given you my name on that thread and you still have not responded. And if you read what you have written on that thread you might be surprised to notice that some of your comments could also be taken as trash talking. i.e. refering to coachtwink and boach clack as bad leaders, saying that Manhattan choked, saying they went to a weak regional(check out the stats on that thread as to the strength of the 6A regionals). I know that I am very interested in what you have to say for your own trash talking.

I hide behind my name so that BTKSalyer can't find me. I think I'll move to Abiline.

For the record Abilene is not spelled as pronounced. The last "e" is silent. Since it is not pronounced, the spelling would be Abileen, like queen. The double vowel giving you the sound your looking for.

Get a grip...jeeessshhh.

coachtwink-

I sit here and smile because you and I think alike. It would hurt me to think someone thinks I am hurting the kids or leading them down the wrong path. I will tell you what I have heard from many- (although it doesn't work for me)- forget about Richard. The kids are the ones you need to get positive and good feedback from. I really feel as if God has given me the opportunity to do good in this world through coaching and I bet you do a great job with them. Don't let one guy get to you like this.

Respect is earned and lost in this present day world much to quickly. As adults we need to step up and behave in the best manner and for the ones that don't it is best to ignore them- hopefully they will either go up or go away

I always find it amusing how difficult we Kansans make it for people to spell and pronounce our fair cities. When the plane left Salina (Sa-LINE-a), I heard numerous times on the news Sa-LEEN-a. In western Kansas there is a town named Leoti - I grew up knowing it as Leo-ta, but the news always reports it as Leo-tee.

As for not signing my name - I do it so as not to totally embarass my kid, but then, I don't have anything bad to say. :-)

dalefish - is that in Leoti? I used to live in Sharon Springs a bijillion years ago - my dad built the gas station at the north end of town. I dated a guy from Leoti and we ate at some little cafe, but don't know the name of it.

NurseKS:

Thanks for the support, you have become a master poster in the last 2 months, catching many long time memebers! But it is spelled Leoti, my folks lived there for a couple of years, and I was born not too far from there. I still have a lot of family in the area.

Dalefish & Mom160:

Charlie's has quite possibly the BEST MEXICAN FOOD EVER. Their bean and beef burritos are awesome!

I lived in Tribune in the 1970’s and 1980’s (High School Teacher – Government and History). Charlie’s was on the East edge of Leoti on Highway 96 (North side of the Highway). It doesn’t look like much but the food and service was great and the prices were fair.

coachtwink
My favorite was the Mexican Plate, but first some hot chips and hot bean & cheese dip.

Mom160
If you are that old and were familiar with that Western Kansa area, did you ever dine at the Railroad café at Horace??

dalefish, I don't remember many of the names of the places we frequented. I don't visit home very often - it's kind of drying up. Sad thing. My paternal grandparents were from Tribune, and the love of my life during my high school years lived in Tribune when I was in high school - haven't thought of him in years!
