I was a spectator at this particular regional. Rhodes was down at the beginning of the third period. Lappin attempted to turn Rhodes over for the entire third period. Rhodes was laying there and was warned for stalling. Rhodes continued to stall and Lappin was awarded a point. Lappin did finally get Rhodes turned over with a cross body ride and a half nelson. Lappin was awarded two points near fall. Lappin then did the same move again and was awarded three points near fall.

When the horn sounded, Rhodes stood up and began a verbal tirade of profanity. Rhodes then threw his headgear towards his coaches corner. Rhodes then exited the mat kicking over his coaches chair. Rhodes then kicked over his opponents coaches chair as he headed for the door. As Rhodes exited the gym he gave the Garden City crowd the "bird".
