NCKL
Rankings
-3 teams ranked in top ten
-7 top ranked wrestlers
-19 ranked wrestlers overall
-13 of 14 weight classes represented in rankings
-every school in league represented in rankings
Regionals
-4 of top 5 teams at regional
-10 regional champions
-every regional final included an NCKL wrestler
-5 finals were all NCKL
-31 NCKL wrestlers qualified for state

It's a pretty tough league.
Good luck to all at State!

I noticed that King-125 dropped off the ranking, i dont know your thinking behind that and adding a Hinman, the only loses King has is three of them to dawson with all loses by 3 points, and a lose to one of the top 5a kids. I know ranking really doent show anything, but I think you are over looking a great wrestler in King.

you are probably right.

for right now he's behind 4 regional champs, a state runner-up and third place medalist.

Interesting that William Irvine was dropped from 160 and Hamilton of Columbus was added over Gettler of Fort Scott when he has already beaten him twice this year.

I think the rankings were mainly based on how kids did at regionals not over the whole year. If you got 1st at a weaker regional for your weight you got ranked. If you didn't do so good at a tougher regional then you didnt stay ranked or get ranked. Maybe im wrong but thats what it looks like with my weight. Not a big deal, this upcoming weekend we'll get it all figured out.

The rankings are based on his presumptions of who he thinks will place at state based on the brackets....just his thoughts again on who he think will place and where, now go prove him wrong

I presume nothing. The rankings are based on what has happened, not what will happen. I think we can all agree that there is some effort involved in winning a regional title regardless of what regional you are in and those individuals deserve some recognition. Fortunately, the final rankings are decided by you guys, not me. If I am wrong, trust me, I will be the first to admidt it. In the meantime, put your own top six in every weight on here and lets see how you do. Better yet, get some sleep, so you can be well rested when you prove me wrong this weekend. Good luck to all.

Irvine took 4th at regionals albeit banged up, he has to knock off a regional Champion off the back to make it to the quarters! resslnfan I'll see you in Wichita, I'm going to try to get the guys some granola bars and gatorade for state tommorrow while I'm getting my results from my CT Scans. Hopefully I'll have good news at state!

I hope you have good news too Swayz. Whatever happens on the mat this weekend takes a back seat to your battle. Good Luck!

Speaking of back seat, if those guys don't wrestle their butts off and I drive all that way I'm going to kick them in their back seat! LOL

Well I know I'm supposed to come on here with joyous news, but am so worn out and in a state of tears right now. The oncologist viewed my CT Scans and there is a tumor that is on my heart that is roughly the entire size of the aorta. If somebody sees me tommorrow, I might need a cup of coffee and one hell of a hug and a shoulder to lean on.
