I would have to disagree. X-Country is a sport that involves longs amounts of daily running. I am not saying that is bad for you, but it does not train your body for the high explosive movements needed for wrestling. There are two types of muscle fibers.
Slow twitch muscle fibers wich are trained by longer sessions such as rowing, swimming, distance running, and bicycling. Then there are
Fast twitch muscle fibers wich are trained in short bursts such as - sprints, plyometrics, and etc.
How you train your muscles is how they preform.
