My husband told me to get on and read this forum. I have heard about Tyler but am sad to say I do not personally know him. He sounds like an awesome little boy with a very loving family. Mike, your post was amazing. I sat in my car driving back to Russell from Abilene today wondering what it was I would find out here on this forum. I said some prayers, called a christian friend of mine to ask "What do you say to a family who is going through this?", and pondered what I might say for my post and prayer. My main concerns were that the Graebner's had Christ in their lives, and that Tyler would be comforted from pain. It sounds like the first part is covered, and this family is so blessed to have you, Mike, in their lives. I cannot even fathom the pain it must cause to have to go through something like this, because even being a stranger to Tyler, I have wept for him. He is in our families prayers asking for his comfort, for the Graaebner's faith in the Lord and knowledge that He knows what He is doing (even if we don't), and if it is His will to allow a miracle to happen regarding Tyler's illness. From what I have learned as a christian, Mike is right. The Lord does not make the terrible things that happen in the world happen, Satan does. He does have the control to not let them happen, but He can also use these terrible situations to bring out something good. From what I have read here, a lot of good things have begun through Tyler's very existence in this world. I pray that the Graebners can find comfort in knowing that their little boy took part in helping people find Christ through his short time on this earth, and that he has made a significant difference in the lives of those he touched. Sometimes it takes a child to see the face of Christ, and if we look carefully we can see it in our own children's reflection, we just need to nurture it. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone in our wrestling family had the same outlook Mike expressed in his post? We will be praying for Tyler and family, and will definitely have his name on our car paint today. How about "Honk for Tyler Graebner!" You are famous, little guy! God bless you and your family!

Mike, would it be possible for those of us from district 2 to get together for a group prayer before the matches Saturday? Maybe all of the other districts can also take a few minutes to pray for him and the family. And next weekend at State, could we meet on the steps or somewhere at a certain time for prayer and comfort?

Cindy, a great idea that I am open to. Just came on to make a post about Joe Johnston and checked this out. Maybe the tournament would allow it prior to the start of the tourney. Hopefully someone can address it at each district this weekend.

I would like to extend our prayers and heartfelt sympathy to Tyler and his family. As previous Dist. II Tournament Director at Augusta I would have taken the liberty and time to set something special up in Tyler's honor ahead of time knowing how special he is and how serious his condition is as well. I had originally suggested that Mr. Furches be our keynote speaker and do the invocation and prayer for this year's tournament. I don't know if someone else has been given that honor or not. Mike, I suggest that you contact Jake Goldenstein a.s.a.p 775-3509 or talk to him tonight at weigh-ins to try and set something up for tomorrow morning. I wish the best to Tyler and his family and to all those in attendance tomorrow.
Sincerley,
Danny Saldana In Tyler's Honor

Our hearts & prayers go out to this little hero. He has left a lasting impression on us all and has accomplished more and touched more lives than most of us will in a lifetime. Tyler you are an inspiration to us all. I pray that all others including myself will strive to live up to the example that you have set. I consider it an honor to have known you. God bless!
