Anybody of any ability can wrestle in college if they choose so, case in point...I never qualified for state in high school and actually though I was a 4 year starter had more of a loss-win record rather than a win-loss record if you know what I mean. But after graduating High School in 1998 and sitting out 2 years I found myself at UCO and though I went 0-10 that 1st season here I was gratefull to be back with the sport I love. If you love the sport, then run to it, not away from it!!! This past season I was able to capture 2 wins and finish with a 2-4 record before succumbing to a torn ACL. I fought in every match tooth and nail not giving up a pin or tech fall. I even found myself with personal hilights such as defeating a wrestler that had been ranked as high as 5th in the Nation in D3, as well as only being major decisioned by D2 champion and big time stud Muhammed Lawal 19-7. Some people may call that failure in their books, but whatever lies within the pages of yourself is what truly matters in determining whether or not wrestling at the next level is right for you. Take care and best of luck!!!
