Kastor has only lost to Crumbliss
by a couple of points. 5th or 6th seed?
No way. he was 2nd last year.

I wouldn't say Crumbliss would breeze through this tourny but he may win it. I dont think Elliot will be at full strength but i could be wrong.

Tim is wrestling this week-end. Is he at full strength? Only time will tell on that one my friends. This tourney shows lots of suprises. I can't wait and am looking forward to it. I also want to see Baldridge and Adcock wrestle at 130.
Also....Jamie F., how are you going to seed Kastor 5-6 if he hasnt even been in Kansas this semester, wrestled 103 last year, and did not even qualify for state? I know it was a weight thing, but still. Has he even been on a mat this semester? I know he is good, but it will be hard to seed him at 125. Good luck

One I will seed him because I don't think many of the seeded guys want to draw him first round. But second I would seed him based on his 2nd place finish at Newton last year. And I will argue that he did not make weight last year, which is different than not qualifying and therefore it is like someone who got injured before regionals last year - would we hold that against him if he has other criteria. Which Kastor does - 2nd place at Newton is saying a lot - He beat Fisher from Andale last year and if they were at Newton this year he would probably be the number 1 or 2 seed at 119. That to me makes him seedable. Do you think Creekmore is not seedable beacuse he hasn't wrestled yet. No I have him as the number 2 or 3 seed at 112. By the way is he wrestling?

Creekmore is ineligble until next week. Our semester ends tomorrow and we don't have school on friday so he can't compete until he attends a class. He had all A's and B's this semester but we cant use him until the Dual next week.

And about seeding him, good point and I totally see what you are saying, but Creekmore is also two time state placer. 3rd and 4th. That is seedable for sure. Also, he is at 112 and not 125. Which might make him seedable being he is only 1 weight up and a two time state placer. He would get pounded at 125.

My only point about Kastor, not that he is not good enough, but 103 and 125 are two totally different worlds as we both know. but he did wrestle well the first day of newton last year.
He is a very good wrestler when he wants too be.

I will not disagree that 103 to 125 is a huge jump. And he may not get seeded as a result of not wrestling in state last year. To be honest I agree with you - I don't know how good he will be and that makes me nervous. He is wrestling well in practice and maybe a no seed will hlep take the pressure off him. He will have only 1 criteria to argue from and in a tourament this tough that might not be enough, but in the past they have given alot of weight to what you did at Newton last year. That is why I think Grater will get #1 and Cornejo #2, because they will say Grater is a returning Newton Champ. That may or may not be fair but I bet that is how it goes.
As the saying goes, "That's why we wrestle them"

Yep, I think that will be the 145 seeds also. We will see. I wish we were doing this tonight instead of Friday morning. That is short time to get such a big tourney seeded. It's going to be exciting!!!

seeds only grow stories and I see there are some good ones sprouting up around here. I'll be up in Omaha but man, the paying customer will definetly get their money's worth watching that tournament. They should have a Wichita station televise the finals, I'd pay direct TV a little something something for some of that action, that is going to take place in ol' Newton.

i really don't think that it's gonna matter on who's the 1 and who's the 2 seed in grater and cornejo's case.
