First of all let me point out that I know several of these kids in this bracket.Facts are the Dinkel kid wrestled most of the season with a major shoulder injury,he did not quit and for any of you that have had a major shoulder injury i think you can relate to what that takes to wrestle match after match, and even place at state. His courage, heart and love for the sport should be commened, not trashed by some of you that know nothing about this kid.As for Jeff he is a great kid,do I think he was the better wrestler, that weekend, yes he stepped up in the final match, however his seeding in that bracket was pretty good.In all of his years wrestling has he ever beat Dinkel...no,not even at Regionals the week before with Dinkel wrestling with a bad shoulder. As for Svaty,Dinkel wrestled him one armed and lost for the first time in seven years of wrestling Svaty....injured.Out of these 3 who was the better wrestler, the Dinkel kid no doubt, and I think if you ask Jeff who was the toughest kid he wrestled all those years and who did he never beat he'd tell you the truth,Dinkel, cause he's that kind of kid.Facts are there a number of things that factor into a state championship and winning it.Had the Dinkel kid been healthy I think he would of done much better. For the person that said he got his $$$ kicked by Subleka,I watched that match,Subleka shot in only once, and personally I think he did most of the stalling,,,,that was some $$$ kicking!!! He laid on the mat and fled for out of bounds the entire 3 round. As far as i saw it and most of the fans watching that match I recall the refs being booed heavily for blowing that match on some supid calls.Mortimer deserves the title because he came through for his team as well as hisself, however I do not think he was the best wrestler in that bracket...just a little luck and he wrestled the best match of his life against Douglas, which I belive he had lost to earlier in the year 12 to 3? Or something like that. But for people to talk trash about a kid that he has never beaten in all of his wrestling career is absurd! For those of you that want to talk trash about a injured wrestler that continured even when most kids would of quit with that injury...lets hope you are never faced with having to deal with that scenerio!!! And just for the record....I am not a wrestler,I am a 45 year old that loves the sport and follows this league that Dinkel,Svaty, and Mortimer wrestled in as well as several others such as Drennan at 140,and also the 145 weight. The Beloit regional had some great wrestling this year, hope to see it next year also. Some of you people on here amaze me,you show no respect,if I recall a number of you trashed Abell and I belive he wrestled most of his senior year with a major shoulder injury,in my eyes both Abel and Dinkel are true Champions and they proved it by finshing their seasons and doing what they could with what had been dealt to them.A true Champion is built on several years, not just weekend.
