My point in posting the part about Danny going out and taking down people and letting them back up was to make the point that he is trying to look better, embarrass other wrestlers and go after the school takedown record. While I know that everyone has an opinion and I respect that, and I also know that everyone has their own style of wrestling, I believe that Danny should just got out and win and stop trying to make people believe he is the best wrestler ever. I have seen Grater wrestle many times. He is a very good wrestler. However, I think winning has gone to his head. This is just my opinion.

maybe he just wanted to practice his takedowns for when he gets to senior nationals and won't be able to turn and pin everybody. Or maybe the kid he was wrestling was determined and fought hard enough not to get pinned. who knows

I disagree with you wrestlingfan, his experience on his feet served him well in his match against Cornejo and it will most definatly do him justice in his college career where takedowns win a majority of matches. And I wouldn't say hes trying to embarrass anyone, that being said forgive me for being so brutal but if someone is so uncompetitive that they get taken down by someone 7 times in one match they probably shouldn't be out there competing against said person, perhaps they should try J.V. And if you disagree with that statement then you grant the notion that maybe he is such a better wrestler than any of his competitors and thus merits awards. Eitherway would you complain if someone went out and pinned every guy they wrestled in 15-20 seconds? I would think getting pinned in 15 seconds would be just as embarrasing as getting taken down 7 times.

I'm sorry the beloit O.W. should of wanted untill the end of the finals. I wrestled 215 at this year and yes got beat by Allyn Plattner from sabetha 5-2 in the semi-finals which was a good match. Yes, the kid is quick and can move very well. The whole thing in which you fat guys can't move or shoot. Bull, I have around 40 takedowns in 17 matches this year. So who says a fat guy can't move. I'm 6"4 and 210 wrestling with the big boys who cutting wait to get down to 215. We don't get enough credit up at the higher weights. At the Osborne tournament this year i got votes for O.W. i had 8 takedowns in 3 matches and 2 pins. But, like always either other towns leave before the tournament is over and put in their votes around 171. I just think we are good and athletic wrestlers. Who just don't get the credit because of what are weight bracket is. They here 215 or 275 people automatically think it fatties. But, it's not look at Horinek last year a beast or Kyle Straight 2 years ago. It just we need to get some credit to. We have the same equipment on as every one else were just higher up in the weight. I gurantee this year for the 321 state tournament at 215 weight class. The guys that make it into the finals will be moving and it weill be a hell of a match and not a stall fest. Go Fatties
