The Norton loss to Hoxie at 152 answers the previously posted question "How did Lewis get seeded above Hauserman at P-burg?" ....... Well now ya know.

Impressive, 9 of their 13 qualifiers in the semis. 5 of 6 have won in the semis to get to the finals with 3 still to wrestle. 27-5 so far, not a bad start.
If you've never been beaten, you've never been far away enough from home.

looks like maybe Ark city's world record 214 points scored in a state tourney may be in jeopardy------hmmmmm? I wonder how many they will end up with

I know that Hoxie had 206.5 points going into the finals with six wrestlers in the finals. It should be interesting to see if they can surpass 214.

I have to give props to hoxie.. i mean they just make everyone turn and look even when they warm up, its like everyone else wants to warm up like them. Specially its a feat alone if you take 13 to state(by the way i liked the "bakers dozen" sign) but to have 11!!!! out of the 13 place, thats crazy.. awesome team.

Hoxie also won by 4.5 points more margin than Ark dity's previous record. I realy feel for Norton because that team was a great one too, would have won state most years. May have been able to win in anoher class but we'll never know.

The worst thing about Hoxie though for all the other teams in Kansas. Is that are still young. Only losing 3 or 4 varsity wrestlers. I think that this could be a three peat in the making. I take Hoxie for next years team title. Any complaints?

Yes, Hoxie will win next year. Hoxie won in 98, 99, 02, 03.....and lost in 00 by 2.5 i think and 01 by 20. Would have been crazy awesome had they got first those years as well.
