As im sure you quite aware of the 5 minute blood time rule, there is in fact no limit on clean up time. However it is within the referees discretion to determine if a stall tactic is being used during clean up time, in which case he may instruct the coach/medical personel to be more diligent in their work. The situation described above can be construed as unsportsmanlike conduct on the part of the coach, if for instance he was doing more coaching of his kid than trying to clean up the mess. In any case I don't believe that was the case here, and I imagine that had that been your kid bleeding you would have taken a different attitude much like the many coachs before you.
