I am going for my hometown team, Manhattan. I think the 2nd best team would probably be Hoxie or Turner or Norton. All pretty close from what I can tell.

Possibly Belleville? How about Salina Central, sporting two guys with records of 2-20, and 0-19.

We beat Norton at Newton and tied Hoxie without our full team at Beloit.

That's what I think as well. Could someone give me the lineups for Hoxie, Norton, and Turner. I think those are the other top 3 schools in the state, and I'll match them up vs. our wrestlers and give an honest winner, based on if they've wrestled this year, and how we match up.

Manhattan also has a few different teams. If you give me who Norton wanted at each weight, I'll give you our most desirable line-up, that we sadly could never come by. At Newton we had pretty close to our best line-up, with 35 and 25 being the weights with JV people.

can't speak for Norton but it would probably look something like this. 103- Mann, 112- Madden, 119- Broecklemann, 125 Pfannenstiel (sp?), 130- Annon, 135- Roe, 140- Goldsby, 145- Harding, 152- Hausermann, 160- Theile, 171- Pfannenstiel, 189- Maybon, 215 Lauer, 275 Sprigg

Alright, here is the line-up that would be our best.
103- Bubba Schoenfeld, we planned on him but he wasn't able to make it down. He would have been a finalist. David Thorton was our 3 pounder all year.
112- Jeb Woodford, placed 3rd
119- Aaron Bingham, placed 4th
125- Andrew Wagner, got hurt halfway through the year, and Kyle Potter filled in and qualified for state.
130- Nathan Retta, 2nd
135- Brian Shilling, 5th last year. Brett Hoshaw filled in and qualified for state.
140- Mikey Miller, 5th
145- Kris Fitzgerald, 2-2 at state
152- Justin Johnson, tore up his knee at league, should have been a state champ. Shey Thorton wrestled for him and qualified for state.
160- Ryan Johnson, 3rd, and a ma-hony 3rd that was might I add. Should have been a state champ.
171- Tyler Warner, state qualifier.
189- Lee Larson, 3rd place, could have been a state champ.
215- Chris Jennings, 2nd place, big loser
275- AD Mayes, 5th place, should have placed higher, had a sand problem at state.

The first name I gave is how we wanted out line-up to look like, and then second name is who it was. Our most accurate line-up would look like this....
Thorton, Woodford, Bingham, Potter, Retta, Hoshaw, Miller, Fitzgerald, Johnson, Johnson, Warner, Larson, Jennings, Mayes.

this will be quick 103- 5th in state, 112 2 time state champ, 119 2nd in state, 125 hurt- backup qaulified in a tough bracket, 130 2 timer, 135 4th in state (i think) 140 second in state, 145 good kid wrestling too heavy, 152 3rd, 160 just missed qualifing in ot to the eventual 5th place finish, 171 2 time 5th placer, 189 pretty good kid, 215 came back to try and qualify and just missed, 275 state champ . now i really gotta go

Alright I'll give this a try
103- Bubba would win, David would probably lose but wouldn't get pinned. 0-1
112- Jeb is good, it would be a good match. Jeb placed 2nd at Newton, and not to the Norton kid so Jeb wins. 1-1
119- Bingham is good but wasn't a finalist. 1-2
125- Wagner would win. 2-2
130- Retta lost by a takedown to Herrera, Annon lost by more than 2 at Newton. I'll give it to Annon. 2-3
135- Shilling would win. 3-3
140- Mikey is good but 2nd in state is good too. 3-4
145- Kris was alright, lost to a lot of good kids. 4-4
152- Justin is really good, wasn't eligible til 2nd semester, should have been a 2 timer. 5-4
160- RJ is good. 6-4
171- Tyler is too small for 71. 6-5
189- I do love BKP#2, but Lee would win. 7-5
215- I suck, but I would win. 8-5
275- AD lost 1-0 at Newton, so Norton wins. 8-6

I went by match totals instead of points because we would have a few falls, and I don't think any of our guys would get stuck. This would have been a good match-up.

And I thought your 2-timer won at 19 this year?

I know Jeb beat a Norton guy at Newton this year. Who was that?

Alright, Madden is good and would probably win. At 119, though, Bingham would beat Norton's 119, because that's the guy that Jeb beat at Newton.
