Does Emporia get to be in this cause Dane Adkins beat Schieber in the state finals, shouldnt he get a shot to wrestle at it?

SME 160 was the state champ maybe he should also get some consideration. Props to Adkins but I believe Schieber could beat him 8 out of 10 times if they wrestled.
ENJOY!!!

Ryan Sonderegger, the SME 160 state champ, is only a junior.
Emporia is also too far away, exceeding the 100 mile limit.

Mark, I'm sorry to say it but Lampkin is a beast. I saw him at UNI camp this summer and the dude is an animal. Reminds me of Dyer only bigger, stronger, and maybe not as quick or technical.

Hm...well it sounds like I would pull off one hell of an upset then! I'm always up for a challenge! Plus, no offense to Carerra because he is one badass heavyweight, I think that I would be better than him at 215. I beat him head to head 2-1 and the only point he got was a stalling point while I was riding him out with 17 seconds left in the match. His moves and style just aren't suited as well for a weight class other than Heavyweight. Converseley though, I couldn't wrestle heavyweight at all. Those fat guys would smash me so fast it's not even funny, so I have tons of respect for Raymond. But who knows, whoever they pick works for me, I'm just all about Kansas winning! Plus he did have a better record and he won state so he deserves whatever he gets.

I take it Carrera is a "light" heavyweight? The MO kid, Gunselman, is all of 275, and has signed a letter of intent to wrestle for Mizzou. Is there anyone else from KS who could fill in hwt who is bigger?
And yes, markshieber, Lampkin is bigger and stronger than Dyer (he's all of 215), but NO way as technical or quick. You don't see too many Dyer's come along. He's finally starting to turn the corner down at OU (w/ his pin over Pascoe of Nebraska).

Yes, he's very light, that's why he wrestled me in the first place. The kid who got second place though is from Blue Valley Northwest and weight 275. His name is Garrett Jones and he twice placed sixth before getting second this year.

Hey Fudge...giving out the Mo secrets heh. Looks to be an excellent dual next week. I believe we saw this Fitzgerald kid from Olathe South this year at our duals. He looked pretty quick if I'm remembering the right kid but he's the only one I know anything about. Good luck Kansas!

Mr Linhart, What are you doing over here? I'm telling Jonathan. What I'm giving away certainly aren't secrets. Should be fun next week.

I would like to know why Studdie Redcorn(Shawnee Mission NW) is not wresting in the Metro at 125lbs. Studdie placed 4th at state this year and Chino didn't even place. -Coach Parks (T-High)

Probably because Chino placed third last year and beat Studie head to head 3 out of 4 times this year. It's all subjective, I mean, I beat Carerra in our only head to head match-up when he dropped down from heavyweight, but they still picked him over me. Sad yes but oh well, it should still be fun to watch.

How can you say that Jessen? Carrera is a heavyweight stud. The guy weighs 220 on a good day and he still won state at heavyweight over guys like you. Still...I think I'm a better 215 pounder.

ABartels- You're an idiot. Adkins beat Schieber pretty badly if you don't count that first period. Adkins would beat Schieber 9 out of 10 times. He is a state champ and an all around bad***.

I'm a better 215 pounder than all of you, now that I weigh almost 210. Is New York outside of the Metro area? I'd be inclined to say that I'm in an even MORE "Metro" area than anyone from KS or MO...where should I sign up?

No way. Schieber is such a better wrestler. Adkins jest wrestled really well at the end of the match and Schieber didn't. If Curran from LV would have been on the top side of the bracket he would have faced Schieber in the finals not Adkins.
