Tanner was one match away from being an All-American. He wrestled a good tournament and just ran into some studs. His OT loss in the quarters was a hard one.

Phil Hart also made a great run at All-American, coming only one match away from placing. He did it the hard way though losing his first match. He won either 5 or 6 in a row after that beating some great wrestlers. In the second match he lost he just ran out of energy. It shows how hard it is to fight back through the conso side of the bracket.

Earl Jones also wrestled a great tournament losing in in the last 10 seconds to Ryan Bridge(#1 in nation) and losing in double OT. He had a really tough draw, but wrestled very well.

I was most impressed by Tyler McCormick who wrestled an amazing tournament. His two loses were very, very close matches that came down to the end. Throw in a win against Minnesota recruit Mac Reiter who has one of the meanest cradles I have ever seen and you have a great tournament. He definitely opened up the eyes of some college coaches.
