I know this is a wrestling forum but we can't wrestle forever. Anyone doing any cool sports?

Are you kidding? Wrestling is life....when it's cold. Baseball is life when it's warm.
And sometimes, like now, you have no life...LOL
My son is in 2-a-days (about 4 1/2 hrs a day) BB practice, and 2 hrs a day wrestling practice, getting ready for kids...hehe. At least we're being nice, and lettin' them off the hook for conditioning.

I coach baseball in the spring. Also a great sport. I am really proud of those athletes who play other sports. I really respect the three sport athlete who manages to do what they want in wrestling and still play other sports.
A great example is Eric Luedke, who loves wrestling and pretty much does it year around, but still runs cross country in the fall and plays tennis in the spring. I think we can specialize too much and need to encourage our wrestlers to do kids after the season and hit some freestyle tourneys in the summer, but also realize the benefits of playing other sports.

Luedke plays tennis? Wow, he really IS tough!
Bring him up to The Hat and we'll form a doubles team. Not only will we dominate on the court, but if we lost we could totally kick the crap out of the other team. (Well, he could anyway.)

Agreed. Bryan plays soccer in the fall, great conditioning for wrestling. Wrestles winter, baseball spring. Babe Ruth BB and Freestyle in the summer. I guess some kids can focus on one sport all year long, but I think variety keeps you fresh.
