When I was a senior, I pinned a 6a kid that took 4th at state in the first period, and then beat him 16-2 a day later.(I think he wrestled at 171 but maybe it was 189) The following year he took second at 215.
Oh yea, i got pinned in the 4a state finals the same year. Looks like we will both be the best of the losers for eternity.
There are people from 4, 321a who don't qualify for state that have smoked state medalers from higher divisions......then again this isn't very often....maybe like 6-10 occasions per season.
Anyhow, 215 is a weaker class. 103 is fun to watch but all the kids are freshmen. The freshmen typically can't be successful in the upper weights.
