I know this topic can cause a lot of arguements, but it is fun to talk about. I would like to see someone else do duals with other classes state champs, I just don't have the time right now. But for 4A v 5A, who would win. Here are my picks.
103- Kreigbaum v Harding(Harding by Dec) 3-0 5A 112- Mainus v Gardner(Gardner by Dec) 6-0 5A 119- Charbenou v Metzler(Metzler by Dec) 9-0 5A 125- Jones v Hoover(Hoover by Dec) 12-0 5A 130- McReynolds v Zouzas(McReynolds by Dec)12-3 5A 135- Allison v Breese(Allison by Mdec) 12-7 5A 140- Johnson v Dugan(Dugan by Dec)15-7 5A 145- Dukes v Vogel(Vogel by Dec)18-7 5A 152- Clark v Brown (Clark by MDec) 18-11 5A 160- Baylor v Payne(Baylor by Dec) 18-14 5A 171- Voglesburg v Reimann(Vogelsburg by Dec) 18-18 Tie 189- Strait v Richardson (Strait by Dec) 21-18 4A 215- Bedore v Seiler (Seiler by Dec) 21-21 Tie 275- Hinton v Pulliam (Pulliam by Dec) 24-21 5A
5A Wins 24-21

Devoe did not win at 103, the kid from Abilene did, and that kid would kill Harding.. So before you start posting stuff like that, make sure its right..

I changed it to Kreigbaum, and I would put my money on Harding. It would be a great match. Harding pinned Devoe eariler this year, and Kreigbaum only beat him 6-4. Harding also teched the 6a state champ i think. Kreigbaum and Harding would be a great match.

How does your score add up to 24-21? 4A only wins one match and ties a match. That does not add up to 21.

I dont think anyone can score 12 points against Earl Jones!! Lira and Hoover went into double OT, Lira and Jones went into OT, I would have to say Hoover and Jones would be very close, definately not 12-0.

The scores out to the side are the team scores after the match, not the score the match would be. I have 4A winning 6 matches, and 12-0 is not the score of the Jones v Hoover match. It is the dual score after the match. Hoover and Jones would most likely go into OT. Sorry for the confusion.

Jeez, have you even watched any 4a wrestling! This whole post is a joke. You can't just come in here and say that all these 5a guys would beat the 4a, you are so funny I can't believe it. This has to be the dumbest post I have ever seen here. Where do I start... I don't think Mark Dugan would/could beat Eric Johnson seriously have you ever even watch wrestling? You think Dugan is so great becuase he beat a kid in the finals that had 8 loses on the year? Harding beating Kriegbaum, don't be so sure about that. Just becuase the kid pinned Devoe and Jake only beat him 6-4 doesn't maen anything. Sometimes young wrestlers make mistakes and get caught on their back. Besides Jake has only lost twice in his career over two years, Harding lost 3 just this year, I f you want to make comparrisons like that. I will give you that Metzler beating Charbonneu it would be a lot closer than you think. You really should be posting things like this if you don't have a basis. Frankly if two wrestlers haven't wrestled each other directly then they should be compared. As someone pointed out in another post, Larry Owings beat Dan Gable once but who do you think was the better wrestler? Who went on to better accomplishments? Please be a little more careful in what you post.

Harding lost 3 times this year, with 2 of them being at 112 against Baldridge from Campus who is the 6A 112 pound state champ. His other loss was to a defending state champion from Blackwell, Ok. Point being he handled DeVoe and destroyed both 6A finalists. Jake is a great wrestler and deserves all he gets and I am not trying to take anything away from him, but Harding is the real deal.

Dugan is a two time state champ which isn't anything to complain about. I know Johnson is too. I wasn't sure who would win that, and it was basically a toss up. Dugan is a stud though. I know he beat Cisper the 6A state champ who is a stud also. And I think the post above supports my point for Harding. Who did Kreigbaum beat this year. 4A 103 wasn't the toughest weight class. Not taking anything away from him b/c he is a great wrestler, but why didn't he go up to 112 and run with the big boys?

I think your picks are a little lopsided Lebowski. There is no way that u can predict matches of that caliber.

I know that all of them would not be right, I was just doing this for fun to see what everyone else thought. I really wish that something like this could happen b/c it would be awesome to see all these great wrestler get the chance to butt heads with each other.

Nigel, take it easy, lebowski made it very clear from the beginning that this post was just for fun "I know this topic can cause a lot of arguements, but it is fun to talk about." There is nothing in here that needs to be taken so seriously that you get offended. You argue that Dugan as good as people make him out to be just because his opponent in the finals had 8 losses. I'm not sure how many of those losses came from Dugan though, I think they wrestled 2-3 times this year. I know that Dugan pinned him in the second period at Regionals. He also beat Cisper by one giving Cisper his only loss of the season(that would be a good rematch) and he beat up on Rexroad from Maize, 6a runner up. He probably would have pinned him if he didn't wrestle 2 1/2 periods with plugs in both nostrils after getting accidentally kicked in the nose (he was running out of blood time and had to be careful). He also beat a 3 time state medalist from Nebraska in the Derby finals pretty soundly (6 or 7 points I think). I think the thing that stands out best for Dugan is he didn't just win state, he beat the hell out of almost everyone he wrestled (school single season pin record of 30, beating his record from last year of 27). There were only a couple guys this year that came close to touching him.

You say this is for fun. What about those you are talking about. Think they won't see any of this nasty. I guess when someone is on top some people want to bring them down. FYI, concerning Kriegbaum, he did wrestle at 112lbs a few times. Did you know that you must wrestle at least half of your matches for high school at your weight you certify for. Thats the rule. Did you know that Kriegbaum had the flu. Not bad for wrestling sick. Did you know that was the only take down and reversal scored on him all year. Look at wrestling history of Kriegbaum and Harding, have been in several brackets together and then maybe rethink your logic. I say congratulations to all the kids who participated at State. Don't take away what they have done. I always wonder what those who play this game online have accomplished that is so much greater that some of this wrestlers you chose to talk about. My guess is not anything much compared to them. This may be sporting to some of you to do the what ifs but it can be hurtful to those who care.

You might like to know that kreigbaum placed first last year at kids state pinning the 6A champ, and the 5A champ coming in at a big 5th place. I also believe that kreigbaum beat harding during the summer at a tournament. He also beat the 123A champ during this season. What's up with u people saying he's not the real deal?

At 160 you have Baylor, but Payne has beaten him 4 out of the five times they've wrestled. I'm gonna have to say that Payne would win that one.

As good as Vogel is, I just don't see anybody getting 18 pionts on Dukes. He is took quick and to smart for that. Although it would be a good close match.

18-7 was the dual score after their match, not the match score.
