Any further discussion on possibly attemting a promo tape for commercial advertising spot prior to Kids. State Tourney?

I don't know if anyone has started this but I think it would be great. I have got the equiptment to do this. I just sit around with nothing to do. I would be interested in putting together a tape. But I would need some help in gathering video

You talk about nw kansas wrestling look at the coaches and there backround,and how many were state champs themselves... Beims at Colby, Urban at Atwood, Koster at Oakley, Dreher at Oberlin, Bahe at Goodland, Johnson at Norton, Gable at St. Francis, Jackson at Hill City, Look at Stockton, Basgall at Plainville, Baker at Hoxie with Porsche assistant. There are many quality coaches and I didn't mean to leave anyone out if I didn't mention you. I think we have to give these guys a little credit for the job they do.

State is here & no promo tape to air on KSNT, WIBW, radio airwaves etc. I know many of us here involved in USAW-KS feel that Wrestling is the greatest sport for youth bar none. 7,700 + members strong and teaches youth how hard work and dedication pays off. What a way for our kids to see the fruit of their labor. I would love to have the media medium savvy to put a commercial tape together. Perhaps this can come to fruition someday. Who wouldn't want a 30 second commercial to showcase our grand sport and events like the State Tourney and Senior Classic ? This would be fantastic as well as a 60 minute footage tape in say 30 second increments per wrestler of Kansas all time greats such as Melvin Douglas & Eric Akin to sell to families so the youth of today can see those whov'e come before them. The tape could sell for $29 and profits after production cost to be fed back to USAW-KS and in state scholarships to those who continue in college wrestling @ Ft. Hays, Labette, Colby, etc. Just an idea to float around. ... Kevin Calhoon
