You know once a fellow gets to thinking about that question a sarcastic fellow like me might have turned that question around when weishaar didn't wrestle and asked him the same.

just for the record. I have followed Marysville under Coach Shottler, Coach Phillippi, Coach Peterson, Coach Hemmerling, and Coach Jackson. That's about 35 years and never once can I re-call them dodging anyone? can your school say the same?? careful!

I am going to go with fanatic on this one and say that Pat was not running from little jake and never would. Pat is a great wrestler and would never run from anyone. I can't understand how you can say that jake or lattimer could beat him, neither one of them are close to Pat's level. Jake didn't do so good at state last year did he?? And pat was 1 point away from the finals. I seen jake wrestle last year at regionals and he was nothing beyond average. I also seen him wrestle at the salina south tourny this year and he was no better then he was last year. Not to take anything away from jake but Pat would destroy him. Also look for Mike Howell to do some damage.

I watched the Basehor/SFT dual the other night and I saw things from a much different perspective. I know that Basehor just came off a tough two day tournament in Garden City where they placed 7th out of 17 teams and they only took seven wrestlers. From what I heard Dukes and Buck were in some very tough brackets, so I imagine they were pretty tired Monday night. I also know at the dual Monday, Basehor was open in 4 weight classes and Trail was open in 1. If you add that up, Basehor spot Trail 18 points and Trail still only won by 6 points. If you look at the 9 head-to-head matches, Basehor won 6 and Trail won 3. I don't think I would put any feathers in my hat for that victory Marcus. I'm sure that you will probably see Basehor out to prove a few things in the league tournament.

I dunno how good basehor is this year but i know that the Santa Fe Trail, basehor dual is always a bit dual for both teams so i know that if scott could of filled his roster then he would of. So i give santa fe credit. Another thing what about these two freshman guys from santa fe, if they gave the number 1 ranked guys in state a heck of a match then trail might have enough fire power to make a little noise at the state tournament when you put those two guys along with betsworth and mcburney and a couple other guys that could gain some points. true they are not ranked but they can definitely make some noise if they are all having the kind of weekend that you need to have.

I was also at the Basheor S.F.T duel. I wouldn't exactly say that dukes had a tough weekend he pinned everyone who stepped in his way including a 19 second pin in the finals. I know for a fact that the Two Freshman (Justin Wiscombe) and (Travis Eden) worked hard and prepared for their tough matches that they new they were going to have. It was a hard fought duel as always SFT and Basheor is a dog fight. Yes it is true that Basheor had a 3 open weights, 125 cody betsworth who is yet to be defeteated this year and is wrestling like a champion, 103freshmen Tyler Cordts who wrestling tuff for Trail this year and 135 pound Freshman Max Connelly who has won some big matches for us this year. And Trail beat Basheor by more then six with an awseome head lock thrown by Daniel Squires for a fall in the 215 pound weight class clenching the win for us. SFT might surprise some people at state this year and in the future.

Before anyone gets off saying that Dukes was almost beat by a freshman you need to know that Dukes has 2 torn muscles in his chest that is causes him to be short of breath and minimizes his arm reach. How do I know I wrestled him in garden City. I am not making excuses because I know that the kid from SFT is good for a freshman and can only get better, but thats my in put on the whole thing.
As for Dukes and Stirling I feel Dukes has the upper hand all the way and will be well prepared

i think it was a tough dual that could of went either way between sft and bas. if bash. would of had a full team (if thats their excuse). we got league this weekend its a tournament, so we will see who is the better tournament team if duals don't matter to anybody. there is only one way to prove who is the better team and thats on the mat. i say everybody let the wrestling talk. sft don't have any hard feelings with bas. cause sat. night after state we plan to stay with some of their wrestlers.

I totally agree with you guys on the no hard feelings thing I know that some of the Basehor wrestlers were complaining becuase they weren't staying in the same hotel as SFT. They all respect each other.
