I know: Hard to read. I am too lazy to fix it. I love computers. We are celebrating 27 Years of SL wrestling this weekend with a big alumni bash. We are also roasting coach Knorr who is retiring after this year. Bringing back alumni, Knorrs wrestling teamates at KSU, old coaches and old refferees. Should be fun!

Appears that there are some pretty loaded weights. Should be a fun one to see.

My friends, being from Rossville that was a huge embarassment. Speaking for myself and i would like to think community, the school, etc I'm sorry and embarrassed that that kid was wearing a Rossville Singlet. Rest assured that crap wont be tolerated. Again i just wanted to apologise to all who had to witness that.

i wasn't close enough to hear/see what all happened, he did something though that was serious enough where he had to be held back by his coach and was thrown out of the tournament. then as he was leaving the gym, he yelled a rather nasty phrase directed at i believe the referee.

apparantly he didn't read the sportmanship banner that was hanging up at the top of the bleachers.

He acted horrible and his parents should be really upset for his behavior. And the person you refer to as almost being hit by his headgear was a wonderful coach,Coach Worley, from Atchison, who several years ago had a stroke and uses the electric scooter enable to attend ALL the tournaments. The young man should feel bad and should apologize not only to Coach Worley, but to the whole crowd, ref's and his own team mates.

Unfortantely the Kenny Smith Conversation is over shadowing some great final matchs.

Corwin's DOT win over Allen
Lorson's late last period win over Marrs
Zlatnik's 3-2 win over previously unbeaten Taylor (seam.

Smith used a clinched fist and was pushing it into McCollugh's eye socket. I have seen that a lot this year not sure were kids are learning it from. Clearly a penalty that the experienced ref called. Smith was up by 3 and clearly in control of the match. Smith then lost it throwing mutiple f bombs and slapping the mat in the following couple of minutes. His coach tried to calm him down but could not, he was dqed on his third f bomb. The Coach forced him to shake McColughs hand which he slapped then stormed off with on last F Bomb. His coachs lost track of him as they were coaching Zlatnik the next match and he then went and caused damage to the locker room.

He is a great wrestler that would have challanged for a state championship but I cant imagine KSHSAA allowing him to wrestle nor do I think Rossville will. His uncontrolled rage reminds you of Mike Tyson. Its just a matter of time before he hurts someone. Sad because he probably needs the possitive that wrestling provides.

I'm not an expert but believe that any time there is a DQ for unsportsman like conduct the referee has to write it up for KSHSAA review. I believe then they can decide if a suspension is in order. My Guess is Rossville will take care of the situation maybe even prior to KSHSAA doing anything. I'm sure they were not pleased with that type of representation.

It seems like that a lot of top wrestler are resulting to dirty moves or not quite ethical moves this year when they run into a challenge.
Makes you wonder if this is being coached or if I am just getting more experianced at spotting it.

Let me make it clear that I am not naming any coaches or schools that this is condoned at. Most of the coaches that I know do not condone it but when you talk to wrestlers in general the same names keep coming up as users of not quite such ethical moves to get out of bad situations

Give us an example of the moves in question so we know what to watch for.
