Thanks go out to Mr. Les Brown for correcting an injustice. I realize that many of you on the other side of the fence do not feel there was a problem. But the KSHSAA which allowed KOOD to broadcast the 3-2-1A State Wrestling Championships, frowns on anyone that openly criticizes officials calls. We live in “Small Town America” and the broadcast was on Public TV not ESPN or Monday Night Football. The comments made during the match, by Les Brown, are not what angered Norton fans and Sponsors the most. However it was the comments made after the match that seemed to take away from Clay Madden’s “Special Moment”.
I personally have talked with Les Brown on the phone about this situation and I feel that it has been resolved. I will do everything in my power to make sure that Norton Businesses still support this very important broadcast of the State Wrestling Tournament.
We are all human and we all make mistakes. I think much more of Les now, because of his more that gracious apology You are a good man Les Brown.
I will consider this situation closed.
