They were all examples, im sorry if you don't like them but I try to base my opinions on things I know about, I use myself as an example in a lot of things becuase I have realized the mistakes I made when I was wrestling in high school so I try to keep others from making the same mistakes. But I also did alot of things right so I deserve that credit. Now as for Abilene winning the State title. Im going to say this for the last time becuase I posted this once before ..... "I do not!!!!! take any credit for Abilene winning its title this year, period." However I do consider myself to be more proud of the team than just the average Abilene fan, no disrepect to them. I love the Abilene wrestling program and I always will. Everyone that grows up in it feels the sense of team unity. I can't say the same for any other program in the state, there are too many individuals who want to rise above their team rather than wrestle for them. Im pretty sure that everyone on all of our state championship teams were wrestling for that team state title in the back of their head. And Fan67 perhaps your right maybe I dind't see coach Johnson do whatever he did at the tournament but alot of other people did so I take them for their word. Chewie said Clay Center fans were booing.. case solved. Strait/ Weishar match, one phase "Judgement Call" no use complaining about it now. And Grater I will admit that was foolish on my point, it was more of a harmless joke not to be taken seriously, but as I said and I genuinly meant it, Im glad that Danny won, I have watched him wrestle many times and I like his style. And no I did not "jump on you" for asking fans anything. And in fact if you were asking a question then what is wrong with the response I gave to you? is it not good enough for you? do you only want to hear the response that you want? No I won't post my picture, first becuase you cannot and second im not here to gratify myself, I have nothing to prove to anyone here. The only difference is that I speak my mind when I feel it is important and some people get offended by the truth. I really do wish to stop this assault on me becuase it serves no purpose and doesn't prove anything. Oh and mamasawn you spelt my name wrong

Is it just me or did anyone else notice that the first time Nigel posted anything on here was after Abilene won the state title. I think its kinda funny that he was very quiet all year long until the team that he lives and breathes by does something good. Welcome back Nigel, we missed ya since last year's rants.

nah...i have to say that nigel has been posting all year long...he just has more interesting topics to respond to now that the state tourney has happened and it has allowed for so many topics to be talked about...i do agree with nigel and the team unity that abilene possesses..i went there for one year and it was to play baseball and i didn't really want anything to do with my teammates on the wrestling team cuz i was just there cuz i did wrestle at my previous h.s. and cuz i was going to play baseball with the kids i played with in the summer...but abilene had such unity; teammates, coaches, and fans alone...there was so much respect for each and every individual that was involved with their program and i am grateful that i was apart of it that one year...i will always root for them for as long as i live just cuz of the way they have their program...

This must be the bash Nigel thread even though the topic suggest otherwise, weren't we talking about ross? Anyway i don't feel the need to defend myself against the previous post but I will just for fun. I have indeed been posting all year long but not so much during the season basically becuase there isn't really a whole lot to talk about. Most of the time every question in the forum is something along the lines of "who is the best in 321A 135 lbs." and "How come this person is not ranked 1st in his weight class" these are really dumb posts and I don't want to respond to them becuase they make no difference. Who cares whos ranked where during the season? Rankings don't mean jack! I posted alot at the beginning of the season and now I do quite a but after the season, and soon I won't be posting anymore until next year thats just how it works. Even if Abilene hadn't won the state title I would still be posting. Someoldguy ... I think after reading your post I know exactly who you are, just by an educated guess. In fact if you are who I think you are I could practically walk over to where you live from where I am now, ha ha. But I will keep your identity secret.

Boy this just goes to show some of the great intelligence that come people can show. First I coach for the Abilene Kids Wrestling Club. And I have been wrestling since the fourth grade which would make this my 12 year. Second I am not in high school anymore yes, but I am very much involved in it and kids wrestling. Yes it does affect me becuase I have to prepare these kids to go into the middle school and high school programs. And of course if you make that statement to me then you will also have to talk to the other 60% of people that post on this forum who are also out of high school. I will say whatever I feel is appropriate at the time and there is nothing you can do about it but complain. And I never said teams did not use the front head lock before Abilene, most teams do not use the style of front head lock Abilene does, nor do they know how to defend it which is why we are so succesful with it. Third your last statement was completly rediculous. Abilene teams are traditional offensive in their wrestling, scoring more takedowns as a team that many other teams in the state and they are taught this way. The front headlock is really used as a defensive move for a very aggressive opponnent. But no decent shots? Well how would you explain how more people on the varisity team score over 50 takedowns in a season, that averages out to about 1 a match. Jason Zey had 146 takedowns in one season, Christian Alt had over 100 in three straight season. and the list goes on, I won't mention myself cuase I get alot of flack for that. You should do a little research before you make stupid comments like that. Oh and if you are so great why don't you either come to Abilene or I'll come to whereever you live and we will see if you can defend the front headlock! I won't use any other move and I'll still beat you with it. Oh thats right you didn't post your real name becuase like so many other cowards that like to post anonymously you didn't have the courtesy. I love a good challenge!
