Oberlin, Decatur Community is currently unraked in 3-2-1A and I predict them to finish top 5 at State and possibly top three. Oberlin has already defeated Oakley (#5) in a duel meet, finished ahead of Oakley and Hoxie (#4)in two tournaments and went 5-2 in the tough Colby duel meet, losing to 6-A 2nd ranked Goddard 51-27 and 7th ranked 4-A Scott City 26-24. Also in the Colby duels they defeated #9 ranked 4-A concordia 42-30. Colby was a tough tournament for currently #8 ranked (3-2-1 A) TMP, going 0-7.

I think that the 3-2-1A team rankings that you are referring might be from last year. TMP is 4A this year. I don't think they have been updated for this year.

Garden Plain should be pretty competitive @ state. I watched alot of their kids @ Hesston last weekend & they've got some talent up & down their lineup. They put 5 in the finals with 3 winning (103-Zoglman, 145-Patterson, 189-Scheer-OW). They placed 9 wrestlers total to win the tourney pretty easily. We'll see how the progress thru the season. Top 5?? Possibly
The first impression will be a lasting impression

Thanks for the heads up Spencer. It all makes sense now. I stand by my prediction and it will be interesting to see where they (Oberlin) are ranked if and when they are updated.

Thanks Coach LaMar. I too would be very surprised if Oberlin does not finish in the top 5. I believe they travel to #2 St. Francis tomorrow so that should be a great one.

Thanks for the ratings. I think Oakley will finish ahead of Hoxie this year. Oberlin possibly third. That's the thing about predictions, they're a lot of opinions that are meaningless but fun to project. Good luck to all.
