Thats the shame of it all, everyone hollors and screams for the stalling call all year long and you can almost predict it in the last 20 seconds or less, then when it comes crunch time (regional and state) after wrestlers are pretty much groomed to a style of reffing they'll flip on them and change their whole entire style of calling a match. Then you will see furry and disgruntleness, then you will see ejections!! For the sake of Kansas Wrestling can we get something so simple right. This lack of consistency is what hurts all of us in the wrestling community. Lets try to grow the sport not shrink it. A few years back we took a Kansas team to Demoins, Iowa and a pretty decent group of kids I might add, the stalling call was definetly a problem for us in Iowa as it seemed like the officials were very stern about making wrestlers work, and other states seemed to understand while our kids thought they were being picked on but they weren't. We dont expect miracles from the refs we just want to be on the same page as other states.
Lets go to regionals and have some fun now. The kids have worked hard and lets let them show thier stuff.
