I wish i was from Norton... year in and year out at the state tournament i have seen some of Norton's average wrestlers knock off the best of the best...i was in oberlin this weekend to see how they performed and they had by far more talent there than i have seen in a long time...I went out on a limb and picked some upsets due to the fact Billy Johnson always has kids ready to go for the state tournament. As for the comment about Jason Pyle of Sabetha...yes he is an outstanding wrestler i just dont thing he can keep up with that unpredictable Harding kid that he should meet in the finals.. It would be a great match and i hope we are lucky enough to see it happen. Best of Luck to Jason and Jermey

matman 69,

Your comments and your profile contradict one another. You say you wish you were from Norton yet your profile says you are from Norton, please clarify. And I do have to agree with you about the so-called average wrestlers knocking off some of the so-called best but it is not only Norton as I have witnessed Northwest Kansas kids doing it for years. And Pyle does look very tough this year in the one tournament that I did have the opportunity to watch him. Best of luck to all the state qualifiers next weekend.

Pyle will destory any 145 pounders. He is so great on his feat it is unbelieable. Harding of Norton will not even make the finals.

Pyle will deffinatly win 145. And i would be willing to bet a whole lot of money that Hase wins at 103.

Guess we will just have to wait and see. I hope you will be out at hays to watch Pyle wrestle. It's impressive.

Your probly right. Corwin is the lone darkhorse i picked. He beat Pfannenstiel last year and was real close to beating shamburger if my memory serves me correctly. I've seen Corwin a few times thins year and i think that if a thing or two goes his way he will surprise people.

I don't think you can just hand it to Norton. St. Francis is sending 8 good wrestlers and Norton is sending 9. I agree Norton should win but it will be closer than you think.

I think you would have to put Malay of Trego-Wakeeney in there. He is the #1 ranked 189lbs wrestler right now and has wins over Scheer, Brungardt, and former #1 ranked Rietcheck of Oakley.
