I'm all for that gutwrench but heck i'd like to have the option to take some freshmen with me to okiesville. I think we can beat Sr's with freshmen in a couple of weight classes. Besides if your saying that the guys in the east, are making THE GREAT STATE OF KANSAS look bad, then because of travle restricitons in KS. bring them good ole boys of MO. to the Wichita area so we can regain our respect and spankem. LOL

Ouch gutwrench1! No really, Kansas Wichita area coaches already have stepped up as indicated in the most previous post to yours. Also, they have offered up facilities and time for nationals training and thanks to Ed and Ms. Jenni shoulder the brunt of the burden for the womens developement and rule the kids circuit and on and on and on. But honestly, your response still hurt but was a good point I guess. We are certainly not hacking on KC, I believe. Maybe just tooting our own horn, but remember, "it aint bragging if its true". And we were talking about Missouri weren't we. Maybe KC can wrestle Oklahoma. If they wrestle Missouri instead, are they chumping out? Why don't you set it up either one, Wichita or KC vs. NE Oklahoma or both vs. all of Oklahoma for that matter. We could just train and go to the nationals instead and then train some more and go to Fargo. Would that be good enough? Or would we still not be doing enough. Not hating gutwrench1, just responding. Have a Great Day!

Darth Vader revealed his identity to Luke Skywalker. Sorry, I know that's knitpicking.

I said his identity of Annakin Skywalker. You are correct--he did reveal it to Luke. I thought the pod races were cool, but I didn't like Jar Jar Binks. (sp?)

Now this is going to be fun to see!!!!

I just spoke with the Kansas City Zoo. They have 4 grizzlies, but only two are available for wrestling the public. I'm still working out the details, but it looks like he will be wrestling an 800 pounder named Yogi. Congratulations Team Kansas!

What does it mean when the user profile says? "The user has not been seen here lately" Junebugs must have got his tounge.

Make sure someone films this so we can all enjoy it over and over again. Maybe have Furches post it with his other wrestling videos.

Please don't encourage gutstench to come back! It has been proven time and again that his opinions about Kansas wrestling are skewed at best. Even when the facts as presented here, point out his errors, he just ignores them and continues on. I don't mind differences of opinion amongst posters but to say the things he said about our state, coaches and especially our wrestlers is just wrong. Also, someone's opinions are no more correct or valuable if that person is willing to divulge their identity. To require someone to put a name with every post (even gut) is simply an attempt to quiet your critics without debate. I participate in several boards at both the prep and college level and this is the only one where a persons identity is ever called into question, or matters.

Sportsfan02,

I am perplexed in this issue for a variety of reasons. Truth is, that at times Gutwrench has given some good and valuable advice. The other truth is that he has said some things that some could construe as being inapproriate on the forums. I think he is just trying to rile some people up and have fun but that don't mean I am correct or know this to be fact. The issue is that there are rules on the forums. One of which seems to give indication that if saying something negative, then one must be willing to sign the post with their name, and/or their email. I think the issue here is not just Gut but many others who don't follow this policy, and then we as a community which don't enforce the policy.

Here are the rules:

This is a free forum, created for the purpose of promoting Kansas wrestling, and those who wrestle, through the exchange of thoughts and suggestions, and for the recognition of the accomplishments of those involved in our sport.

There are just two basic rules that are necessary to keep in mind. First, remember that this is a family oriented forum, and is regularly viewed by young wrestlers. Second, "cheap shots" will not be tolerated. If you are going to post a message critical of an individual, group or idea, you must give your true name and/or email address. Be willing to stand behind your comments, or keep them to yourself.

I found nothing in gutstench's positive suggestions that couldn't have been lifted from any number of wrestling camp handouts. Besides, there is a point when the harm that one does outweighs any and all positive actions.
In regard to the forum rules, where did you get part (b)? I'll be honest, I've never read the rules of any forum I participate in because I don't troll and I do not use vulgar language. I scrolled up and read the rules of this forum and found nothing other than language rules. Again, I find the need for persons to know anothers identity strictly a means of quieting dissent or debate. Those that visit more than just this board know how heated some of these debates can get. Recently it came to my attention on a college board where one of the combatants contacted the others employer in an attempt to get that person fired for using the company computer. So, I would say if you choose to put you name to your posts go ahead but beware there can be consequences.

Sportsfan It is a copy from the agreement a user makes when they sign on to use the forums. I wish it was more readily available. I personally wish the rules were posted on each page.

I agree about being wise and careful in using your name. I can tell you as many negatives as positives regarding using my own name. I think it works both ways. I do know that I try to be more careful because I use my name, but I know I sometimes make mistakes as well. Anyway, have a good one, and enjoy the regionals I know they are going to be fun again this year for kids. I don't know who you are, but I know you do a lot and are involved from your posts. Appreciated.
