I know it's a far shot for Ethan to do. But did you wrestle him 2 years ago and then this last year? A biiiiiiiiiiiig difference. Also, Ethan may not have beaten Trent last year, but when they're on their feet the talent gap has closed a lot between the 2. Ethan's one of the few that took him down last year (I'll also add it was straight to his back). Just ask Mike and Nathan Furches how much better Ethan is getting.

Chenoweth, I wrestled Bates this year. And I am not taking anything away from Bates. I saw a huge difference in him from the week between kids state to Brute. He never gives up. But, anyone can get a lucky takedown. Last year I threw Ely to his back and I know that it was pure luck. I am just saying that Cox isn't getting beat by Bates or Sparr.

It wasn't a lucky takedown. I strongly believe Ethan has become a great wrestler from his feet now and you'd be very surprised if you watched him wrestling Cox or Furches. They really didn't start beating him to badly until they got on the mat. And one of my favorite quotes: "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity"

Ethan is not a bad wrestler. And I watched him wrestle Cox at District this year. He got pinned if I remember correctly. That doesn't make him bad, but he still isn't up to that caliber.

I don't know what weight he's goin yet. I'm trying to get him to go 112 but the coaches want him to go 103. And Ethan didn't wrestle well after high school state at the kids club wrestling tournaments. He'll be the first to tell you that. He was cutting a lot of weight for those tournaments and didn't do it the right way, which made him a lot weaker than he normally is.

how bout we wwait till season starts and see but im not believin nothin until seaons here i highly doubt that they go to goddard

Jayhawkster, one thing you need to keep in mind is that there is more than one weight on a wrestling team. If you can't work hard enough to become varsity at your weight, then try going a different weight. Quit complaining that one kid is keeping you from being varsity when the only person keeping you from doing that is you.

Your without a clue. I'm 46 and my kid beat Bates last year like 10 to nothing! Bates is getting to much ink!!!

Then whoever you're complaining for needs to read my post. It's getting really old hearing Goddard this Goddard that. Goddard's the best regardless of what your excuses are. Goddard didn't win state with just Beard and Caldwell, they won it with an entire team.
And about Bates, you are without a clue about him. I assure you he got a lot better this last year, and will improve that much more for this upcoming year. He doesn't sit around and complain about how people are moving here and there and making it to hard for him to be good, he instead works on improving to beat those that complain.

Can't help but giggle at this exchange. Telling Curtis Chenoweth that he doesn't have a clue is kind of like telling Shawn Bunch that he needs to pick it up in the quickness and speed department.
