I know that this is a talk forum for Kansas, but this is something to talk about. I was checking on somethings on the Iowa wrestling website and I came across something I never thought would happen. Tyler Nixt and one of the many legends from Iowa wrestled in the finals of the Midlands Tournament where Joe is a legend and is going for his tenth straight title. The kicker is that it is wrestler vs. coach, now tell me that is not something that will strike your funny bone.

I tell you what for the most part the Iowa guys are pretty funny I remember 2 years ago at the CMSU Open when one of the Brands brothers and McElrevy (boy I butchered that) came and ate bagels with the UCO team...it was funny...but as soon as a match came up for Iowa it was back to business.

Congrats to the Hawkeyes for finishing 6th in the Midlands tourney, both wrestlers in the finals which were Luke Eustice and Tyler Nixt both came up short and finished 2nd place and assistant coach Joe William set another record by winning his 10th title at the tourney. My question was how is Joe doing this year for the Hawks?

Ya i was at that CMSU tourney..... Alot of kids got intimidated because there were rumors those two were going to enter the tourney... They didn't and it was a great tournament...
