On the NJCAA wrestling championship I noticed a name Dustin May from Labette County. I went to the Labette site and they did not have a roster. Is this the same Dustin May from Derby? If so how can this be?

Yes that is the same Dustin May from Derby, Ks, a 4-time State Champion who just a few weekends ago lost in the NJCAA National Championship Finals 3-1. He has been a huge asset to our team, and is planning on returning here to Labette for a second season under Coach Renfro.

Does he have 2 seasons left of eligibility or did he have a hardship year. He was up in Montana? and then made appearaces at UCO and Bacone in Oklahoma...wasn't sure how much time he had left on the mats.

I don't think he burned any time at Bacone or UCO. However, I could be wrong here. I think he was Red-Shirted or Inj. Red-shirt at Montana. I'll ask his sister and get back to you.

I know he could have started the one year possibly over a guy who had qualified 3 times for nationals in my opinion at UCO...would have been a scrap fest, but he seemed to have some great quickness and moves to utilize his smaller frame that by the time you tried to counter him it was too late.
